Hi there
We have just ordered in some SunFire x4100 M2 boxes and I am attempting to
jumpstart them.. I notice that net0 and net1 are NGE interfaces and net2 and
net3 are the original e1000g interfaces.
When trying to jumpstart these boxes off of nge0, it picks up its DHCP address
successfully, reads the fact that I want to do a custom jumpstart but then
gives me an error. Below I have pasted the output since pressing F12 to boot
from the network ........it seems to send nge0 into a down state after it
picks its DHCP stuff up for some reason ?

Ive read somewhere that jumpstart does have a few issues with nge interface
types but no concrete details
Does anybody have any advice for me on this? I would prefer not to have to
change the primary interface in BIOS to e1000g then jump the box, then swap it
all back to nge again after its built, because that would be a real pain
