I am banging my head against the wall now, I am having a problem logging in
to my Sun V440 Solaris 9 sytem. It accepts my password when booted into
single user mode but if I do a full boot I get a login error with the same
password (as root or my own user account). What the heck is going on. I have
modified the policy.conf away from default unix encryption and have a 15
character password. The only thing showing up in messages is "login failure
on console". Nsswitch is set to files for passwd, I do not have kerberos
loaded on this system, and I have reset the password several time just in
case.
Any and all help will be very much appreciated.
Rick
