Sol 7 64bit upgrade

Sports fans,

We have an E420 here running Solaris 7 with only 32-bit support installed. My
DBA's want to upgrade Sybase and require 64-bit support to do so. We all
believe that staying with Solaris 7 is a safer alternative than upgrading to
Solaris 8

Has anyone had any experience installing 64 bit support after the initial
install? I've done numerous switches from 32-bit to 64-bit on boxes where
the 64-bit support is installed and that has not produced any disasters so far
(don't worry, I'll create one soon).

TIA,
