Hi,
I have one Sun V490 running Solaris 10 6/06 attached to an HP EVA400. I
want to backup my ZFS pools using the snapshot facility on the EVA. My
theory was this:
1. Create an EVA snapshot of the disk underlying the ZFS pool.
2. Present this snapshot to the Sun
3. Import and the snapshotted pool
4. Backup the snapshot over the network
The problem I have comes in step 3. Of course the snapshot and the
original pool are identical (same id) so I can't import the snapshot.
Does anyone know of a way to change the id so that Solaris thinks that
the snapshot is a different pool? That way I can import it alongside the
original.
Thanks in advance,
