rpc.metad takes up lots of cpu

I have disksuite running on my solaris 9 box. I noticed the rpc.metad
and rpc.metamedd are
taking up 80 percent of the cpu. I ran a man page on these two items and
it says they are for
multihost setups. Since I'm not running a multihost setup can I comment
these out in the
inetd.conf file below so they don't startup?

# METAD - SLVM metadb Daemon
100229/1 tli rpc/tcp wait root /usr/sbin/rpc.metad
rpc.metad
# METAMHD - SLVM HA Daemon
100230/1 tli rpc/tcp wait root /usr/sbin/rpc.metamhd
rpc.metamhd
# METAMEDD - SLVM Mediator Daemon
100242/1 tli rpc/tcp wait root /usr/sbin/rpc.metamedd
rpc.metamedd
