Hello Managers,
I have tried google and even Sun and I still can't seem to get anywhere.
I have followed these instructions below to no avail. (very short document)
http://docs.sun.com/source/819-6599-13/AppA.html
Is there anything else you would try?
Also the Sun engineer said I must run at 115200, does this sound correct?
I don't see why 9200 baud wouldn't work. I did try both. Also I was told that
it must be serial b, sounds strange to me.
Any ideas big or small would be great.
I will summarize
Thanks
Al
On my old x86 systems (no LOM) I just had to modify /boot/grub/menu.lst
and apply these eeprom settings.
eeprom input-device=ttya
eeprom output-device=ttya
##menu.lst file##
kernel /platform/i86pc/multiboot -B console=ttya,ttya-mode="9600,8,n,1,-"
and everything worked nicely (older x86 system, super micro system board)
