Problems installing an OS on a SunFire X2100 M2

 Hello,

I recently got in an X2100 M2 and am having problems getting an OS on it. I
can't get the server to see the hard drives at all. They don't show up in
BIOS and when I try to load RHEL 4 ES Update 4, it doesn't see any drives to
install the OS on. I also tried using Fedora Core 6 and it loaded the
nv_sata driver, but still couldn't find any drives to install the OS on.

I tried booting with the Sun Tools and Drivers CD and the Hardware
Diagnostics doesn't see any hard drives either.

I then tried booting with the Solaris 10 CD it came with and that hung upon
boot.

To give some more background info:

I downloaded the latest Tools and Drivers CD and upgraded the BIOS/SP (3A15
and 2.91) and the USB ports stopped working until it loaded OS drivers. For
example, I couldn't use the keyboard during POST, but once it booted from
the RHEL 4 CD and loaded the USB drivers, the keyboard started working
again.

I opened a case with Sun and they had never heard of that problem and
suggested I downgrade to the previous BIOS. They keyboard wouldn't even work
when booting from the Tools and Drivers CD, so I had to setup eLOM and
downgrade the BIOS that way. Once I downgraded to 3A12 and 2.70 the keyboard
started working perfectly again.

At this point, the server seem to be working great, but I can't get an OS on
it, because no OS setup can see the drives.

Any ideas?

Here's another question. The drives have labels on them indicating they are
SAS drives, but they are clearly SATA drives. How does that work?\

Thanks a bunch.
