in.ftpd

Dears SUN Managers,

We are running in.ftpd by inetd service and everything is working fine,

Our FTP daemon is receiving 1-2 connections per second and this fine
(its base on our work requirement).

My question is it better to run the FTP daemon as standalone daemon
(because of the number of connections that we receive) or to just leave
it running by inetd?

if it's better to run it as standalone, how can we do that?

Thanks

Regards,
