Hi there
I am trying to configure my DHCP server (the SUN one not ISC) to jump
SPARC boxes as well as x86 and I have a question about the creation of
the relevant macros that I need to get it working ...more specifically
the Vendor definitions and what exactly they mean
Every website I've read has an example similar to the one below
# dhtadm -A -s SrootIP4 -d Vendor=SUNW.Ultra-1 SUNW.Ultra-30
SUNW.i86pc,1,IP,1,1'
Now, up until now I've been building i86pc boxes which are obviously
covered by the above definitions, I discovered on the Sun website that
to determine the correct Vendor entry I type `uname -i`. Trouble is, I
have many flavours of Sparc so do I have to amend the above command to
include all of these ...ie
# dhtadm -A -s SrootIP4 -d Vendor=SUNW.Sun-Fire-V440
SUNW.Sun-Fire-V240 SUNW.i86pc etc etc,1,IP,1,1'
....including every type of box in the one command????
Does anybody know if there is a generic way of including my multiple
flavours of SPARC boxes?
Any help would be greatly appreciated
