SAMFS Performance issue

Hi All,
 
I have got two samfs filesystems in soalris 10. When we copy files from one
samfs filesystem to the other samfs filesystem, its very slow and takes a
lot of time, even some commands like ps -ef also hangs for sometime when
copying is going on.
 
Dis anyone come across this problem before? Any idea what could be wrong,
any tuneup required?
