Replacement for MS Exchange?

Does anyone have suggestions for a product or set of products ($$$$ is
ok as long as it does the job) that would run on Solaris and provide the
functionality of MS Exchange to Windows clients running Outlook? That we
can put up a calendaring server is of no help if Outlook won't talk to
it and get the same functionality as Exchange provides. E-mail is no
problem it's the contacts, calendar, and tasks functionality. I can't
just say people should use some web browser client. Everyone's got their
stuff set up in Outlook and changing the way people do things on their
desktop is not going to sell very well.

Rationale: Exchange sucks in performance, we have lots of storage but
can't go to more than 50 megabytes/person and it regularly locks up the
client (or vice-versa). We already have lots of Sun systems from entry
level to high end, I would like to make a case for using some of that
capacity to replace the Exchange servers. We have some budget to pay for
stuff because we're paying for licenses for Exchange servers.
