Hello.
I'm having some trouble adding a map NIS.
I'm trying to add /var/yp/automount/auto.people
to our NIS server. I have edited the Makefile
and have done makedbm to create the ndbm files.
when i run make the map gets pushed to the slave
nis servers. however when i ypcat -x i don't
see my new map. a few things to note.
the master is in mix-mode NIS/LDAP using the
iPlanet NIS extensions. the slaves are normal
NIS servers. the NIS servers don't run automount,
they only need to serve the auto.people map in
/var/yp/automount. regardless of which server my
client is bound to ypcat -x doesn't show the map.
can someone tell me what is going on and or how
to correctly add a map.
any help would be appreciated.
