Solaris 10 X86 Network Install

Hello gurus,

I am trying to set up an install server for my environment. I have an
intel based server running Solaris 10 X86 (rel 6/06) which I have
designated as the install server. I downloaded the DVD iso image
(Solaris 10 X86 11/06) and mounted it as /mnt/s0. From the Tools
directory I run setup_install_server and add_install_client. I check
for /etc/bootparams /etc/hosts /etc/ethers rpc.bootparamsd in.tftpd.
Everything checks ok with the right entries. I set up the client
machine which is a SunFIre X4200 connected to the serrial console
server and Network Management port for remote management. I expect to
install the OS from the install server without going to the datacenter
and sitting out in the cold. Double checked all cable connections to
ok. Sitting in the comfort of my office I power on the X4200 and watch
the console. After some spinning around and initializations, it tries
to do a PXE boot and looks for a DHCP server. Now I don't have a DHCP
server and want to avoid configuring one. Is there a way out other
than going to the datacenter with a boot floppy? Can I force a
conventional SPARC style network boot?

Thanks in advance.
