sol 9 x86 crash

I had a sol 9 x86 box crash today and on reboot it's failing to boot.
It gets to the secondary boot stage echos "Solaris Intel Platform
Edition Booting System" then just hangs.

Hardware failure has not been ruled out yet. Is there anyway to repair
or am I looking at a complete reinstall?
