Copying a Sun Cluster

Hi Sun-Philes,

I have two sun clusters I want to replicate at another site (one is
2*v240, other is 2*v490 w/fibre SAN, both solaris 9 & SC3.1)

The best option seems to be to take the root mirrors out of each node
and take them to the other site, and boot of those, and make the
necesarry changes.

1) Are there any issues with this?

2) One issue I may definetly face on the V490 cluster is the hostid -
i need to apply for a license for an SS7 card using the hostid of the
machine - will the hostid be the same if i have replicated this
cluster? Is it possible to change that hostid if it is a problem in
obtaining the license?

If there is any problem replicating like this, I would expect the
second best option to be Flash archive, or ufsdump - please
advise..... and many thanks in advance,

cheers,

Sammy
