Thanks to all....god i feel stupid now.

Because i've been wrapped up in the if statement and things for a bit it
wasnt in my head i was actually in a loop. As im also using negative
logic to say if it isnt a blank line or comment then start doing stuff i
forgot to realize the else would be hit.

this in clear terms :)
