Weird Permissions Error

Hi Gurus,

I have this weird permissions issue that i am not sure is a bug.

I have a user who is being denied access to create/modify anything in his
home directory! A chown/chmod does not help. No acls in place on the
directory the ls -l gives

drwxr-xr-x 2 user1 staff 512 Jan 29 11:27 user1

touch t1 says "touch: t1 cannot create"

mkdir t1 says "mkdir: Failed to make directory "t1"; Permission denied"

This is only happening with this particular user. If make user2 as the
owner, he can create files/folders.

What's even strange is userdel -r fails! it says "UX: userdel: WARNING:
user1 has no permissions to use /export/home/user1"

No RBACs are set. I would like to know if anyone can shed some light on
this before i try deleting the user and directory seperately and create a
new user.

Thanks,
Srinivas
