imap and pop3 on Solaris 10

Hi Sunmanagers

I have a Solaris 10 out of the box but there is no imap- or pop-server
running. Therefore I installed the SFWimap from the companion cd and ran
the imapd and popd. However it is still not possible to access the
server on either port 143(imap) or 110(pop). It seems like the services
aren't enabled.

Could any of you tell me what to do?

I don't hope that I have to install the sun java messaging system.
