Hi Gurus;

We plan to migrate a production system's data from a Hitachi lun to the
other in the same box. The system is under conrol of Sun Cluster 3.1 and
SVM. There is only one diskset with one metadevice on it.(msds and d100) We
plan to do that with the minimum interruption of service. So my action plan
is like following:

# scdidadm -L (check if I can see new lun as a did device , else add it with
scdidadm )

# scswitch F

# scsetup (disable all ressource except HAstorage+)

# metaset s msds M a cxtxdxsx (new lun) h host1 host2 (add two nodes to
the diskset)

The existing data is hold on a metadevice called d100 and set as
Concat/Stripe. In this point I will apply the following procedure:

# metainit -s msds d300 m d100 (I will set existing data as a submirror)

 I will change /etc/vfstab and replace d100's with d300's

Here I will mount d300 and chech with df -k

Lastly ,

# metainit s msds d200 1 1 cxtxdxsx (new lun)

# metattach s msds d300 d200

# scsetup (enable all previously disabled ressources)

# scswitch Z g (bring online all ressource)

Do you think that this procedure is appropriate? This operation is extremly
important and must be done with minimum downtime. So your comments are very
important for me.

Thanks
