Hello,
This may be a basic question, but I can't find it documented anywhere.
I hope someone can help me.
I have an Enterprise 450 with a bad disk. It is an 18GB SCSI disk
partitioned for striping. The disk is then used for two separate
sub-mirrors. Since the disk has failed, I tried to replace it with a
36GB disk and partition it by size to match the failed slices since the
block sizes are different.
This has failed repeatedly trying to sync up the sub-mirrors after
enabling the slices. I am assuming that the 18GB disk that failed can
only be replaced with another 18GB disk partitioned exactly the same way
or should a replacement 36GB disk work if I partition it with the same
size slice?
