amazing..

question:

we are asked to do this "Please disable SNMP OR change
the read and write strings to something besides read
"public" and write "private"". how would i acheive
this in solaris 8?

Thanks to paul sagneri, Jeff Claunch, Leber, Tom and
chris Ruhnke. all of them suggested to either edit the
config file /etc/snmp/conf/snmpd.conf and comment the
private and public lines. also disabling the
/etc/rc3.d/S99ucd-snmp and /etc/rc3.d/S76snmpdx.
