Hi there,

We have in a production environment several Solaris 9 boxes
running weblogic 8.1 and an application on top of that. What we've seen
is every 2-3 days when running a netstat -an is that there is 9000
connections stuck in a CLOSE_WAIT state. Now looking at one of them :

10.146.116.112.7101 10.146.116.112.55553 269936 0 269940 0
CLOSE_WAIT

Its not obvious what process its orginating from.

Are there commands and ways , to find out more?

Would truss tell you more for example?

Alistair.
