Hi List,

We have several Sun Servers connected to a HP EVA 5000 using Secure
Path. Since we will replace it with another storage, where we won't need
Secure Path for Multipathing, we got our new servers with Sun branded
FC- HBAs and just don't use Multipathing for this short time.

Now we have one of those new servers (SunFire v490) connected, but it
won't find the LUNs of the disks. SanSurfer (we have QLogic cards, Sun
branded) shows (even with the Sun qlc driver) the correct LUNs.

This is the output of luxadm:

fodok /root# luxadm probe
No Network Array enclosures found in /dev/es

Found Fibre Channel device(s):
  Node WWN:20000014c3cf9f9b Device Type:Disk device
    Logical Path:/dev/rdsk/c1t0d0s2
  Node WWN:20000014c3cf9fa8 Device Type:Disk device
    Logical Path:/dev/rdsk/c1t1d0s2
  Node WWN:50001fe1500092a0 Device Type:Disk device
    Logical Path:/dev/rdsk/c3t50001FE1500092ACd1s2
  Node WWN:50001fe1500092a0 Device Type:Disk device
    Logical Path:/dev/rdsk/c3t50001FE1500092ACd2s2
  Node WWN:50001fe1500092a0 Device Type:Disk device
    Logical Path:/dev/rdsk/c3t50001FE1500092ACd3s2

But cfgadm won't list the devices:

fodok /root# cfgadm -al

c0::dsk/c0t0d0 CD-ROM connected configured

usb0/2 unknown empty unconfigured ok
usb0/3 unknown empty unconfigured ok
usb0/4 unknown empty unconfigured ok

We tried cfgadm -o force_update -c configure c3, but it won't work.

Any hints will be appreciated.

Regards,
Thomas
