Zip file with a password

Hi Folks, this might be a silly question; is anyone creating a zip file with
a password on solaris?
I need to do this and the version(s) of zip that I have seen do not support
it. Actually in their man pages they say you can use "-e" for encryption but
it tells that it is not supported when I run it with that argument.
I also have not found anything else that will do this (sunfreeware et al).
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Chris
