Good afternoon Gurus,
I have a SunOS superserver 5.8 Generic_117350-33 sun4us sparc
FJSV,GPUZC-M with 4 x sparc64 processors & 16G memory & 16G swap.
We tried to increase the max memory consumption from total of 7G to a
total 9G for our 4 oracle databases running on the machine but ran to a
following error:
Oracle said:
ORA-04030: out of process memory when trying to allocate 33304 bytes
(pga heap,control file i/o buffer)
ORA-07445: exception encountered: core dump [0000000101E10A80] [SIGBUS]
[Object specific hardware error]
However, both of these errors are OS related. In the messages I found a
lot of errors related to this:

I just can't believe that I'm running out of swap. According to 'top' &
'swap' we should quite enough swap and memory for any process:
Top:
Memory: 16G real, 4698M free, 8979M swap in use, 6045M swap free
superserver:# swap -s
total: 8321960k bytes allocated + 944248k reserved = 9266208k used,
6121936k available
Any ideas why this might happen?
