Guru Admins,

I have a Sun Fire 480R that is giving me some issues while trying to
install Oracle. The installation finished but when I try to install
some java .jar files, I get this error:

Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError:
/u01/app/oracle/oradata/ocsdbdev/lib/libjmisc.so: ld.so.1: java: fatal:
/u01/app/oracle/oradata/ocsdbdev/lib/libclntsh.so.10.1: wrong ELF class:
ELFCLASS64

>From what I can tell by doing Google searches is that I'm trying to
install a 64 bit app on a 32 bit system. So my question is this. How
can I tell what I'm running? I have been a Solaris admin for the last 2
years, came over from the dark side (aka HP-UX) where I was an admin for
13+ years. In the HP-UX world, I would run:

getconf KERNEL_BITS

and that would tell me what I'm running.

Is a 480R 32 bit, 64 bit or can it be either?

Cheers,

Jim
