Dear managers,
we have purchased a SF490, an Ultra320 SCSI Adaptor and a Tandberg LTO3
Drive. We connected all three parts and are eager to start our first
backup but have no clue how to proceed. The tape drive came with zero
documentation except a Win-only CD. Our plan is to start a cronjob
every night that writes out
/home
/opt/FrontBase/Backups
...
to the tape in the Tanberg drive (no usage of Veritas software or the
like is planned). But until now we have no clue how to do that (which
command, device,...). Hints for a tape newbie would be greatly
appreciated.
