Solaris, Linux and EMC mixed SAN config

I have a small production SAN which is made up of Suse 10 systems
using Emulex cards, an EMC switch and an EMC Clariion array. I need to
add 2 E4500's into the mix. They are running Solaris 10, with latest
patches applied. Just plugging the E4500's into the EMC Switch nets
nothing. The switch does not recognize the servers.

However, I have another FCAL switch that has a quickloop license on it
that gets me a little closer. The WWN's are recognized by the switch
and even show up as hosts on the EMC Array but trying to add the hosts
to a storage group on the array fails with "Unable to communicate with
host". The Navisphere agent is installed on the E4500's but I am sure
I am missing something in the setup/config. Or possibly something on
the 2nd switch, as that switch used to couple the E4500's to a pair of
A5200 SUN Storage Arrays, which I no longer have.

Questions:
1) Is this mix of systems, switches and arbitrated/non arbitrated
loops going to work?
2) If yes any suggestions as to where I can find some relevant documents?

I have many hours in this already cruising through EMC and SUN docs
with very little luck. Any pointers is greatly appreciated.

TIA
Bob
