Hi Ian & All,

How do I load the FCode onto the hba? I thought that loading the qla driver & boot -r are good enough, ain't it? If it's, I already did; hence I saw the interface during boot up. However, the issue is that I can't see it when I run probe-scsi-all cmd.

I already set auto-boot=false & run reset-all several times, but I still haven't gotten what I expect to see.

ok setenv auto-boot? false
auto-boot? = false
ok reset-all
Resetting ...

Sun Ultra 5/10 UPA/PCI (UltraSPARC-IIi 300MHz), No Keyboard
OpenBoot 3.31, 640 MB (60 ns) memory installed, Serial #9680239.
Ethernet address 8:0:20:93:b5:6f, Host ID: 8093b56f.

ok
ok probe-fcal-all
probe-fcal-all ?
ok probe-scsi-all
ok probe-pci

Could you please tell me where do I obtain the patch for fcode & upload it to hba or get it to see at obp? Any helps/suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks a lot,
-Chris

you will need to obtain and load the FCode on to the HBA before you will
be able to see the HBA, or attached devices, from the boot PROM.

NOTE: this is only necessary if you either (a) wish to see the HBA or
attached devices from the boot PROM or (b) wish to boot from a device
attached to the HBA.
