multi-tape ufsdump aborts while waiting for next tape

I have been dumping a Solaris 9 machine to an HP Ultrium 460 tape drive on
a second Solaris machine for some time now. The partition dump requires
more than one tape. In the past, when end-of-tape was detected, ufsdump
would wait until I put in a new tape. Without any changes to the script,
ufsdump now aborts before I get a chance to put in a new tape.

I tried using the "l" (el) ufsdump option and the problem remained the
same. I power cycled the tape drive, no change.

The script and ufsdump output are below. Thanks in advance for any help.
