xntpd start-up fails

I'm running xntpd on a recently patched Solaris 8
box. When I attempt to start xntpd, I get the
following messages:

Jul 12 11:59:00 srdb-qa1 xntpd[4870]: [ID 702911 daemon.notice] xntpd
3-5.93e Mon Sep 20 15:47:11 PDT 1999 (1)
Jul 12 11:59:00 srdb-qa1 xntpd[4870]: [ID 904279 daemon.error] mlockall():
Resource temporarily unavailable
Jul 12 11:59:00 srdb-qa1 xntpd[4870]: [ID 301315 daemon.notice] tickadj = 5,
tick = 10000, tvu_maxslew = 495, est. hz = 100
Jul 12 11:59:00 srdb-qa1 xntpd[4870]: [ID 134263 daemon.error] can't alloc
interface table

Can anyone interpret these messages or suggest how to
fix this (short of rebooting, of course)? This is
using the NTP packages included with Solaris 8 ...

Richard
