Sorry should have added that this machine does not have a CD-ROM.

Thank for all that replied with boot off the cd.

Any other ideas?

I have a system that the root file system is full. It is an X4100. I have used Suns info doc

        http://sunsolve.sun.com/search/document.do?assetkey=1-9-85072

and have modified the multiboot section as is says. But my system will still not boot into Single user mode. It just goes into the regular boot cycle. I just need to get to the file system to remove a core so the system will boot.

Any one have any quick ideas.

        Thanks
