Erased content of a network share

Hi all:

I have a box running solaris 6, and a netapp box exporting network shares.

The problem is that the other day I lost the whole content of a share. The
only thing I know one person did was:

cd /tmp
create myDir
mount <netapp-box>:/share ./myDir
mount <netapp-box>:/share /tmp/myDir

The first entry got an error. I know it would be very strange but, could
this have impacted in the whole share content loss.
