Hi,
I am setting up an FC network using QLogic switches and IBM DF4000R ProFibre
disk trays. I have connected 3 E4500s and 1 E6500 running Solaris 7 into the
network. The controllers are showing up in the device list on boot and we
are in the process of formatting the disks. I want to find out if there is a
way to have the servers "auto-discover" the disks once they are formatted
without rebooting the servers. Also is there a way to discover new devices
on the network (such as a new disk tray) without rebooting?
We have an A3500FC we will be connecting to the QLogic switches as well, I
would like to find out what the mount mappings would need to be changed to
in order to make that work.
Any hints/suggestions will be greatly appreciated and I will summarize once
it is all working.
