I'm trying to harden a couple of Solaris 10 machines, and I just tripped
over something really (at least for me) surprising). I turned off the autofs
service, and _many_ thing broke, even though the machine is neither an NFS
server, or client. Looking around I realized that it uses autofs to mount
the users home directories, even though they are local.
Is there a way I can avoid this behavior, so that I can turn autofs, and all
NFS related services off?
