Original Question:

        Hi all,

I have a T2000 and I would like to use dladm(1M) to configure link agregation.
Currently my network interfaces are coming up as ipge(7D). I would like to use
the e1000g(7D) driver so that I can take advantage of NIC agregation and dladm(1M)

        Question:

How is it possible to get the kernel to probe and attach the e1000g(7D)
        driver to my interfaces ?

        I have found this [http://ttoulliu2002.blogspot.com/2006/06/t1-and-e1000g.html]
but surely I don't have to hack around this much ?

        OS: Solaris 10 6/06 s10s_u2wos_09a SPARC

        Keen for any responses !

Solution:

Wait for the e1000g patch, which has finally arrived:

        123334-02 SunOS 5.10: e1000g transition patch

The defining comment from the README that allows easy NIC agregation with dladm(1M)

"6428335 Transition from ipge to e1000g NIC driver"

Thanks To:

Daryl McKinnon
