Hello all,
I have just installed the latest Sun Update manager (Sun Update
Connection Client, System Edition 1.0.4) to try and get things up to
date, but when I attempt to send off the registration data to Sun to
activate it, I get an Internet Connection Failed message (both from GUI
and command line).
I have found an issue that looks identical in the Sun Developers Forums,
but do not see a resolution in the thread (I have added a reply asking
if there is one).
Anyone else have any experience with this issue (and how to fix it)?
A couple of points of information.
- This machine does not use a proxy to connect.
- I am connecting to the machine with ssh and running a remote X
connection for the Gui (which is why I tried command line as well)
- System is an E5000
- I am running the 3/05 release of Solaris 10
# cat /etc/release
Solaris 10 3/05 s10_74L2a SPARC
