Hi, I have been trying to find a way to send all jobs from a
solaris system using the default lp printing system to another
solaris machine that is running lprng.. E.g. this remote machine
has all of the lpd spooling directories etc.. setup and the printers
listed in /etc/printcap.
To do this with lprng we have always used something like the following
in /etc/lpd.conf:
#########################################
force_localhost=0
default_remote_host=wasat
done_jobs=0
#########################################
Is there anything similar that can be done when not using lprng? The examples
I have looked at so far with network printing is that you have to actually
list each printer in /etc/printers.conf whereas I was hoping to simply
send all jobs off to another machine to be processed.
Thanks,
Gerard.
