Sol 8, hppi, and hung queues

hello all,

I am having some issues with hppi (latest ver) on Solaris 8 (with
latest recommended patch cluster).... It seems that we didn't have this
issue on Sol 2.6, only cropped up after migrating to Solaris 8.... I've
googled around and saw some issues pertaining to disabling "True
End-of-Form" which I did on the drivers that supported it but the one's
that don't support disabling this feature are still screwed. Once a
queue gets stuck, lpsched needs to be restarted or a disable/enable
queuename needs to be performed..... why? shouldn't the queue poll for
the printer status and when online finish the job?

Are there any specific patches for printing in Solaris 8? I can't find
any....

about to open a case with Sun.... :(
