Monitoring traffic

Dear managers,

we have a 512 kBit line to the internet and three Solaris servers
connected to the ISP-router. Each Solaris server has one
external/public interface/ipaddress and one internal interface/address.
One of the Solaris servers is the NAT gateway, router and DNS-server
for 20-30 Macs. This setup worked fine for years. Since a few weeks we
have extreme performance problems when accessing external URLs. I doubt
that the SF240 has any problem with routing the traffic of a 512 kBit
line even under high load (other services). My guess is that somebody
in the company is illegally downloading movies or the like. The
performance is optimal after 5 PM and before 9 AM so it must have to do
with usage.

Any idea how this can be tracked down? I would like to know which
internal machine (or process on the server) consumes all the bandwidth.

Thanks a lot!

Regards,

   Andreas
