NIS and LDAP coexisting on a Solaris 10 box - is it possible?

Howdy all,
We're trying to move all our compute infrastructure
over to a single sign-on system using Apple's
OpenDirectory at the core. Mac, Linux and Windows
hosts have zero problems doing so, but I'm having all
manner of issues getting Solaris clients to work.

We want to keep NIS around until we get fully
comfortable with LDAP as a replacement, but we want to
move groups and passwd over to OD effective
immediately. This is easily accomplished on Linux
hosts by placing a few edits in /etc/nsswitch.conf and
the PAM config files. I want to do the same thing on
Solaris hosts, but I'm having a devil of a time. Any
suggestions on how to accomplish this would be
greatly, GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks.
