DVD based backup solution for V240

Dear managers,

we have a customer that is looking for a DVD-based backup solution for
a SunFire 240. Can one by a DVD-Writer for this machine from Sun? I
doubt so, and even i this woul dbe the case I guess that had to be an
external device. I assume the v240 has USB 2.0 ports. Can we simply
connect a standard DVD-Burner via USB and use cdrw to burn the disks?
Any experiences with such a setup?
