Hi Kory,

I had exactly this same scenario. Installing the latest Solaris 10
recommended patch cluster fixes this but then generates a new error;

Use metadb to delete databases which are broken.
Ignore any Read-only file system error messages.
Reboot the system when finished to reload the metadevice database.
After reboot, repair any broken database replicas which were deleted.
Jun 27 14:45:27 svc.startd[7]: svc:/system/metainit:default: Method
"/lib/svc/method/svc-metainit" failed wit
h exit status 96.
[ system/metainit:default misconfigured (see 'svcs -x' for details) ]
Jun 27 14:45:28 svc.startd[7]: svc:/system/filesystem/usr:default: Method
"/lib/svc/method/fs-usr" failed wit
h exit status 95.
[ system/filesystem/usr:default failed fatally (see 'svcs -x' for details) ]
Requesting System Maintenance Mode
(See /lib/svc/share/README for more information.)
Console login service(s) cannot run

To get around this, modify /etc/system and include the following statement;

set md:mirrored_root_flag=1

The then allows the OS to boot with less than 50% database replicas.
