How to play embedded <embed> wavs in Mozilla / Solaris 10?

Hi,
        I've found several horribly complex, error prone methods out
there, but is there a clean, simple way to have Solaris 10's web
browser play wav files that have been embedded in web pages using
<EMBED> tags? I'm trying to build a display machine for Nagios and
need the sounds to play. I do not prefer to load, compile, configure
loads of third party software.
