Hello All,
I am currently tasked with getting automount to work on my workstation. I
have currently have it working however not the way I want it to with the
following auto_master file
/net -hosts -nosuid
/home auto_home -nobrowse
/xfn -xfn
When I stop and restart the autofs init script. I am able to cd /net and see
my server. However I also see 399 other directories in /net.
I only want to be able to see 2 of the servers. I changed the the /net line to
/net -filex -nosuid
Where -filex is a file located in /etc that contains the ip's and hostnames of
the machines I want it to automount. So filex looks like.
10.10.10.1 host1
10.10.10.2 host2
When I stop and restart the autofs init script. It will only mount host1
under /net. Whether I put the line first or second in the filex file. I have
taken out both entries all together and it still mounts host1. I am confused.
Can someone please help.
Thanks,
JP
