What are the best way to monitor the followings on a
Sun Boxes.
a) temperature
b) cpu utilisation
c) power supply (whether power supply is died)
I know some of the log file like
/var/adm/messages.* and prtdiag -v will show
me the result, but i do not want human intervention.
Also, is there a way to send an snmp trap of the
temperature, power supply from Sun Boxes to a HP
openview in order to monitor status of Sun System?
I heard that Sun management Center can perform the
above tasks, is it true? If yes, how can I get this
software and is it free?
