VXVM error while root encapsulation

Hi Guys,

Today I was trying to encapsulate the root disk under vxvm(72gb)
which had 5 partitions (/, /usr, /opt, /var & /home) with only slice 3
not being used. So, when I tried encapsulating it failed with the
following error

VXVM ERROR V-5-2-338
<vxvm vxslicer error V-5-1-754 not enough free partitions>

Why don't veritas mention in the beginning about this possible
situation & recommend to leave 2 slices free on the boot disk (May be, I
might have missed reading it, but don't remember seeing it anywhere).
So, I was googling it & didn't find much of an answer.

Finally I did an experiment & unmounted the /home as it empty
(new system) & then encapsulated the boot disk which went thru. After a
reboot, I created a new vol & mounted it as /home.

Has anybody encountered this before? Just curious.

Thanks
