Dear managers,
I have a unix application server (Solaris 10 x86 on a Ultra 20) with
SGD installed and would like to print from GGV running on this machine
and being displayed on a Windows client to a printer that is connected
to the windows machine. The Windows machine has a "Xerox Phaser 8400"
configured. I can print locally from Windows applications to this
printer. I can also print from GGV on the Solaris machine to a printer
connected to the Solaris machine with
/usr/bin/lp -d xerox
in Edit - PostScript Viewer Preferences. My understanding of the SGD
docu is that when I replace this print command in GGV with
/opt/tarantella/bin/lp -d tta_printer
then the unix app will send the PostScript to SGD which will send it to
the Windows client which will (hopefully) send it to its default
printer. But nothing gets printed. When I press Ctrl-p in GGV to start
printing and can see the job in
/usr/ucb/lpq -P tta_printer
for a very short time. Then it's gone but I don't know where. Any
ideas? I am stuck!
Thanks a lot!
Regards,
Andreas
