I have an NIS environment that is refusing connection from a new server.
var/adm/messages:May 15 13:48:48 server1 ypserv[27651]: [ID 518807
daemon.error] ypserv: access denied for 164.74.139.243
on server1, in the /var/yp/securenets, 164.74.139.243 is allowed:
% more /var/yp/securenets
255.255.252.0 164.74.12.0
255.255.252.0 164.74.16.0
255.255.252.0 164.74.76.0
255.255.252.0 164.74.136.0
rpcbind is not restricted.
% more /etc/hosts.allow
rpcbind: 164.74.0.0/255.255.0.0
[...]
I have stopped & restarted yp (/usr/lib/netsvc/yp/ypstop;ypstart).
Any suggestions on other things to try?
