Gurus,

Thank you very much for the overwhelming response.
SFTP is not an option anymore. The ftp server is
configured with WFTP and SSL. It is the vendor's ftp
server, so I can't make any modifications in the ftp
server. I need to adjust on my end. I need something
in the SUN server to transfer data securely to the ftp
server configured with WFTP/SSL. Any idea?

Thanks,
Clarissa

Gurus,

Almost all of you suggested SFTP, I tried it but I got
the following connection refused error. For security
purposes, I masked here the actual hostname with
host123. I was told that the ftp server is setup with
WFTP. Does this software support sftp client? Is there
something to be configured in the FTP server so I dont
get connection refused?

# sftp ftp.host123.com
Connecting to ftp.host123.com...
ssh: connect to host ftp.host123.com port 22:
Connection refused
Connection closed
